Anxiety, Depression
|
Friday, April 18 2008
I started seeing Ruth 5 weeks ago for anxiety +depression +physical
related stress pains, neck, shoulder, and headaches.
After seeing numerous therapists and psychiatrists and spending years and
years on different types of anti depressants, all I can say is God brought
me to Ruth Knill.
I truelly believe she has started me on the "first day of the rest of my
life". Physically I no longer suffer at all with headaches nor tightness
on my back, it's amazing how relaxing her treatments are, how soothing and
emotionally healing - life saving!!
I also started chinese herbs with the guidance and support of my
psychiatrist.
I am thrilled to say I am off all western antidepressants and have never
felt
better. My mind is no longer in a fog, I have a much better attitude on
my future, my thoughts and emotions are focusing on a more positive
outlook, and I couldn't be where I am without Ruth.
She listens, has true compassion for her patients and treats each
individual uniquely.
I know I am on the path of healing- physically, emotionally and spiritually.
I have a long road in front of me , but this time I know I will make it.
With the love and guidance of foremost God + Dr Ruth acupuncture and herbs-
I will be alright!
If there is hope for me - believs me there is hope for you!
Love you Ruth

Running
|
Saturday, December 5, 2009
I've been running since being on the cross country team in high school.
Last year, at the age of 47, it seemed that chronic pain running uphill and downhill was getting worse and threatened to stop my daily runs.
I went to ruth to see if she could help.
Only 3 acupuncture treatments helped immensely and I resumed my morning runs.
Now I regularly get acupuncture for the general health benefits and wonderful relaxation.
Thank you Ruth

Well-being
|
Friday, September 5, 2008
I first heard about Ruth Knill from my neighbor, who had gone to see Ruth in
an emergency. My friend had been experiencing jaw pain and found that
Ruth's treatment was the only thing that helped in any way. "If you ever
need acupuncture, Ruth is the real deal." I was told. I didn't take this
endorsement lightly. My neighbor is complete snob when it comes to
endorsing alternative healthcare providers. :-)
A few months later, when I was experiencing arm pain, my doctor suggested
acupuncture. I have worked with other acupuncturists in the past, but given
the recent recommendation, I decided to try a few visits with Ruth.
Not only was Ruth been able to reduce my arm pain; she was able to help me
in other areas. A lot. I have a severe disk injury in my lower back and as
a result, live with chronic pain, chronic anxiety and depression.
Not only has Ruth helped me in all of these areas; she has inspired me to
take a more active role in my own well being. Since seeing Ruth, I eat
better, exercise more and cumulatively, feel better than I have in a long
time.
She has a truly wonderful way about her - and it's clear that she cares
about the people she treats. Also, the ease with which she works with
needles is something that just can't be taught.
Ruth has a natural gift for healing and I would recommend her without
reservation.

Ruth,
Just wanted to state for the record your treatments worked. My wife and I had been
trying to have another baby for 20 months when I started working with you. Six
months later were on our way, and it was all natural.
Thanks, Jim

Sinus Conjestion, Allergies
|
Friday, May 21 2004
Dear Ruth,
I am so happy to not be suffering from allergies this year. Every spring,
for the past 40 years, I've been wheezing and itching and sick to the
point of not going outside and dreading the springtime. Thank you for all your
help and healing. I don't know if it is the nasal irrigation, the herbs,
or the acupuncture that has pushed me
out of the allergy world, but whatever it is I owe my clear breathing to
you.
Many kisses and hugs to you,
Christine, Cambridge Massachusetts

Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS)
|
Saturday, October 22 2005
Ruth,
As you know, my husband has Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS) and Acute Diseminated Encephaphalomyelytis (ADE).
All Doctors have stated he would never get better.
After almost 4 years, I thought of trying acupuncture. I researched to find the right person for my husband.
You came highly recommended from a neighbor and the only one that would take someone in a wheel chair.
The change within only 6 weeks of acupuncture and 2 weeks of chinese herbs is unreal. Doctors now call it a miracle.
Within this short time, he talsk better, takes part in conversation, short term memory has returned, moves constantly,
moves his wheeel chair and the list goes on and on. Most important, his atitude has changed and now he wants to walk.
You have made all of our prayers and dreams come true/possible. The future looks much better for my husband since we were blessed by your treatment.
Most of all by your warmness, smile and laughter. With you miracles do happen,
Thank you,
Anne, East Boston, Massachusettsst

Infertility
|
Fri, March 27, 2009
My husband and I were desperate to have a second child and felt like time
was running out ( I am 42 years old). After trying for a year, and two
miscarriages I decided to try acupuncture. I thought nothing else had
worked, so why not. The minute I met Dr. Ruth I knew I was in good hands.
She evaluated me and we decided on a course of treatment. I was pregnant
within six weeks!!!! I decided to continue treatments throughout the
pregnancy, which in hindsight was a lifesaver. After pre-natal screening
tests indicated there was a high chance that something may be wrong with the
baby, my sessions with Ruth saved my sanity. Fortunately all the tests
results came back normal and I am flying through this pregnancy. I have
avoided all the dreaded symptoms and ailments typically associated with
pregnancy. Ruth's greatest strength is her ability to treat the patient not
the symptoms or disease. She is amazing.

My husband and my efforts for a second child were sidelined by breast
cancer. After we were given the go ahead to "try" again we were sad
to discover it was not happening! Personally, fertility treatments
were not too appealing since they are hormone based, so on the
fabulous recommendation of a friend I found myself in Ruth's office.
Ruth handled me with a kindness I did not expect. She unexpectedly
"fixed" my neck pain and long story short, after four treatments I
found myself pregnant with our second child!
Thank you again for everything!

I wholeheartedly recommend Ruth and am grateful to have found her.
I have been seeing Ruth for TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) in conjunction with IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation) treatment.
and have been pleased with Ruth's knowledge of TCM, her wisdom and
caring, supportive nature.
I saw the positive effects of treatment initially when I had a menstrual
period without cramps for the first time.
Ruth has helped me to achieve pregancy, and has been available to me
whenever I've had a question or concern.
Ruth is a gem of a practitioner!

Repetetive Stress Syndrome
|
December 15, 2005
I originally had surgery a few years ago to ease the pain of repetetive stress syndrome on
my wrist. After a recurrence, I decided to try Acupuncture. Much to my delight within 6
weeks I have an amazing reduction of all discomfort and highly recommend that acupuncture be
used to aleviate pain.
Thanks Dr. Ruth,

Hair Loss
|
Thurssday, October 28 2004
I had some hairloss for unknown reason. I went to my primary care doctor and
a dermatologist and neither one could help.
I decided to try acupuncture and visited Ruth Knill. She gave me a thorough assessment and
begun a treatment of acupuncture and herbal remedies.
After about 2 months I noticed a slight regrowth and a significant decrease in loss.
I would defenitely recommend Ruth!

Anxiety
|
September 29, 2004
I started seeing Ruth in September 2003 for stress and anxiety brought on by
the illness of a sibling and her subsequent death.
With a combination of acupuncture and appropriate herbs I was able to overcome
and heal from a very difficult and sorrowful time in my life. Ruth is extremely
knowledgeable in Eastern medicine and her precise placement of needles results
in immediate relief of symptoms. She is compassionate and caring and does what
is necessary to help.
I highly recommend consulting with Ruth. I know that she will be able to help.

Low Back Pain
|
October 16, 2004
I lifted a box incorrectly straining my left sacroiliac jiont. Careful yoga helped but the
joint remained inflamed. After the first acupuncture treatment with Ruth I was pain free for
the first time in weeks. The pain came back the next day but less.
After the fifth treatment the injury is 99% healed!
Ruth is wonderful and funny too.
Anne, Belmont Massachusetts
November 9, 2009
I came to Ruth with severe back pain from three herniated discs. I realized my disc
condition was a 'degenerative work in progress' just waiting for the right/wrong
movement to go over to the dark side! I was skeptical of the options provided by my
physician, which included steroid shots and surgery. The research on these
procedures just didn't show a high success rate. I contacted Ruth Knill,
Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist for advice. She was out of the country at the
time but still responded to my emails and arranged her schedule to meet with me
shortly after her return. Ruth outlined for me, in realistic terms, how I could
improve the condition of my back and how acupuncture would work for me. My back
has improved significantly. I am more aware of my movement, posture, nutrition and
hydration and the total impact of these factors combined on my overall health.
She has
the expertise and warmth of a highly gifted and committed practitioner. She always
brightens my day!

Tinnitus
|
October 7, 2004
I came to Ruth after straining my neck and back with some heavy lifting.
I also had an ongoing problem with a very annoying case of tinnitus.
Ruth treated my back and neck with acupuncture and prescribed an herbal mixture
for the ear. After two sessions my back felt great.
The herbs are working to lessen the tinnitus as well.
They taste awful but are effective.

Fragmented Disk
|
July 2, 2005
I came in with a fragmented disk and an inability to walk because of drop foot. One treatment had me walking again and after 3 treatments, the drop foot was almost gone. Acupuncture helped me to avoid surgery
and continue with my exercise. Thank you Ruth!

Arthritis
|
May 7, 2005
Ah, relief from pain and stiffness. After several treatments by Ruth,
I am experiencing relief from the arthritis in my hands and neck. Last year after about 8 treatments by another acupuncturist experienced little to no improvement. As a result, I planned to undergo physical therapy for my arthritis as recommended by a rheumatologist. Before I looked into scheduling, I decided to
give acupuncture another try. I scheduled an appointment with Ruth at New England Medical Massage Therapy. I'm happy to say I'm pleased that I chose to give acupuncture another try: Ruth is a great acupuncturist.
